Parenting Support

Practical guidance and support for navigating the challenges being a parent or caregiver for a child.

Parenting can feel overwhelming at times. You don’t have to figure it out alone.

Parenting is complex, and you’re not alone.

Parenting doesn’t come with a clear roadmap. Even with the best intentions, it can be difficult to know how to respond to unexpected behaviors, big emotions, or changing family dynamics.

When parents or caregivers typically seek support:

  • Frequent power struggles or conflict

  • Difficulty managing a child’s behavior

  • Navigating big emotions (yours or your kiddo’s)

  • Feeling unsure how to respond to a child’s trauma

  • Family transitions or traumatic events

  • Strengthening connection with a child

  • Wanting more consistency and confidence in your approach

The woman has dark hair tied back and is wearing a white top; the man has short dark hair and is wearing a beige shirt. There is a beige and white patterned pillow on the sofa, a coffee table with books, and a potted plant in the background.

My approach to parent coaching is grounded in understanding both the child’s emotional experience and the parent-child relationship.

Together, we explore what may be driving your kiddo’s behavior while also developing practical, realistic strategies that you can use in everyday moments.

This work is not about quick fixes or rigid rules. It’s about building awareness, strengthening connection, and helping you feel more confident and supported in your role as a parent or guardian.

A collaborative and supportive approach

Working alongside your child’s therapy.

Caregiver support can be a valuable complement to child therapy. As children learn new skills in sessions, caregiver coaching helps reinforce those changes at home.

When appropriate, I work collaboratively with both children and parents to create consistency, strengthen relationships, and support meaningful progress over time.

In some cases, it is more suitable to work with only a parent without the child being in therapy. There are a number of different ways to provide to support as each family structure is different.

What to expect

Parent coaching sessions are structured around your specific concerns and goals. Sessions may include:

  • Talking through current challenges

  • Exploring patterns and underlying dynamics

  • Learning practical tools and strategies

  • Reflecting on what’s working and what’s not

  • Adjusting approaches over time

Sessions are collaborative, supportive, and focused on what will be most helpful for you and your family. With parent coach, sessions can be offered wither in-person on virtually.
